About Us

Purpose

The Methodist Agile Mind Centre was founded in April 2014 with the specific goal of providing comprehensive, high-quality, and specialized services to individuals suffering from cognitive impairments, as well as their caregivers. Our mission is to assist patients in delaying degeneration and providing support to their carers, thereby reducing their stress and improving their knowledge and skills in caregiving. Our aim is to help seniors continue to enjoy their golden years in familiar communities.

Service Scope

Cognitive Impairment Assessment

Registered nurses or occupational therapists provide cognitive assessment services for individuals suspected of cognitive issues and refer those in need for medical diagnosis and follow-up.

Day Respite Services

Qualified social workers and occupational therapists offer a range of activities and training programs tailored to the needs of patients. These activities include cognitive training such as reality orientation, multisensory therapy, and reminiscence therapy. Patients also have access to a variety of brain stimulation activities such as music and gardening groups, as well as social and recreational games.

Training

Mind-body activation exercises originating from Japan involve warm massage, recall training, baton exercises, health circles, croquet, and ball tossing to enhance seniors' physical, cognitive, and social abilities.

Music Care

Originating from Japan, this therapy uses moving music melodies and simple movements to soothe the emotions of the elderly and enhance their sense of self-efficacy.

Home Training

Designing appropriate home-based cognitive and behavioral training based on the patient's abilities and needs to strengthen memory and reduce emotional and behavioral problems.
