Multidisciplinary Health Care Service: Methodist Causeway Bay Rehabilitation and Training Centre
In November 2023, Methodist Centre established the brand-new Methodist Causeway Bay Rehabilitation and Training Center (CBRC), equipped with independent and comfortable therapy rooms. Through a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, nutritionists, nurses, clinical psychologists, counselors, and more, CBRC provides users with comprehensive and high-quality physical and mental rehabilitation therapy and training services.
One service user, Ms. Sin, developed shoulder injuries due to caring for her family, leading to such severe pain that she experienced insomnia and had to rely on painkillers. After discovering the center's physical therapy services, the therapist, using professional knowledge, helped Mrs. Sin identify the source of her pain and provided targeted treatment, addressing both symptoms and root causes. As a result, she no longer needs pain medication and is progressing well in her recovery.
The center's physical therapy services also incorporate exercise therapy, guiding users in targeted improvement exercises to reduce the risk of recurring injuries during daily activities and performances. Additionally, the use of VR elements and technology adds fun and motivation to rehabilitation training.
